Two exceptional sauna stones.
Real heat. Real steam.
A better sauna experience.
A stone with a remarkable history.
Quarried at the historic Shoksha deposit near Lake Onega in Karelia, this rare crimson quartzite brings a striking presence to the sauna. The same stone is famously associated with Napoleon’s sarcophagus at Les Invalides in Paris.
Dense and low in porosity, its substantial stone mass stores heat and releases it gradually — helping create a full, enveloping löyly.
Shoksha quartzite has been used in monumental architecture for generations. Its deep crimson color and permanence made it a stone of international importance. For sauna use, choose a compatible heater where the stones are not exposed directly to open flame.

Dense, dark and built for repeated sauna use. Gabbro-Diabase has long been valued in sauna and banya culture for dependable heat storage and durability through repeated heating and cooling cycles.
True Gabbro-Diabase sauna stone remains uncommon in the U.S. MORZH imports it directly for customers looking beyond the more commonly available olivine diabase.
For electric and enclosed wood-burning sauna heaters where the stone mass is not exposed directly to open flame.
Heater compatibility matters. Raspberry Quartzite should not be placed directly in open flame. Always follow your heater manufacturer’s stone-loading and clearance requirements.
